Link of the Week: Health

Sometimes it is hard to write objectively about a controversy that is overtly political or religious.  If you want a current event that you can examine from several angles without offending your reader, check out this article.  Health problems are a big deal in the United States, but whose responsibility is it to make sure that people eat healthful meals?  McDonald's is under a lot of pressure because people are blaming fast-food meals for poor eating habits.  Yet McDonald's is a business that makes money by selling what people want to buy.  At the same time, McDonald's is a business that markets food to children and adults alike.  Who has the power to change society?  Where does the responsibility ultimately lie?  What is the real problem here?  Remember that McDonald's is only one of many restaurants.  How does that knowledge change your perspective when you think about this issue?
