SAT, ACT, and PSAT practice exams

Knowsys offers full-length PSAT, SAT, and ACT practice exams. There are multiple versions of each exam, so a school or district can set up a series of exams and not see repeats.

  • Each PSAT exam is 2 hours and 45 minutes.

  • Each SAT exam is 3 hours and 50 minutes (including the essay).

  • Each ACT exam is 3 hours and 35 minutes (including the essay).

School-Wide Practice Exams - PSAT, SAT, and/or ACT:

  • Raise general awareness about the exams and their importance

  • Generate interest in PSAT, SAT, and ACT courses and programs offered at the school or district

  • Provide counselors with additional opportunities to educate students and parents about the exams and the preparation options available

Some Benefits of Offering the Knowsys Practice Exams:

  1. Students receive a full-length, realistic testing experience. Student performance is not logged on the student’s official testing record with College Board or ACT, so students can use these exams to improve their scores and determine when they are ready to take the real test, which will go on their record.

  2. The Knowsys exams are significantly less expensive than the real exams ($13.50 for SAT and ACT and $10.50 for PSAT).

  3. Knowsys offers a fast turn-around. Typically, personalized score reports can be returned to students and parents within 2 weeks (often faster). Knowsys returns the score reports electronically (as a PDF file) to the district/school and then the district/school prints them for the students/parents/student files. This also provides the district with a permanent electronic record of the testing administration.

  4. The Knowsys Personalized Score Report provides extensive detail, well beyond what ACT and the College Board provide on their reports. The Knowsys reports allow the students to see their strengths and weaknesses and focus their study efforts accordingly.

  5. Knowsys provides an Administrator Summary Report that aggregates the student data and provides great insight into systematic weaknesses in the curriculum. Sitting down to review the report with the Knowsys representative and the district/school Math and ELA leaders will help the leaders identify the systematic and on-going challenges their students experience and generate solutions to fix the deficiencies.

  6. Knowsys provides a PowerPoint presentation for the Results/Strategy Session, in which the score reports are returned and explained to the students/parents. The district or school representative uses the Knowsys PowerPoint presentation to walk the students and parents through the session.
